Salford City Council - Record of Decision
I, Councillor Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby:
The Reasons are TfGM will be leading the implementation of the Walkden Park and Ride project in conjunction with Salford City Council. The project will improve cycling accessibility to the station and provide off street car parking for 107 vehicles.
Salford City Council is currently holding £585,149.84 of Growth Deal grant awarded to the city for the delivery of the Walkden Park & Ride scheme. TfGM are the lead organisation for delivery of the project and as such require the grant to be in their account to progress implementation of the scheme. In addition, a collaboration agreement between SCC and TfGM is necessary as TfGM are delivering the project on behalf of SCC and which the above approvals will allow and enable the project to proceed.
Options considered and rejected were: None
Low: TfGM are managing costs and project delivery directly.
The source of funding is: £585,149.84 of Growth Deal Grant funding.
