Acquisition of Dwellings at Liverpool Street and Kara Street, Salford

 

I, Councillor Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby:

 

1.    Approve the acquisition of a further 8 dwellings (subject to funding) at Liverpool Street and Kara Street, Salford on terms and conditions provisionally agreed.

 

2.    Authorise the Shared Legal Service to complete all necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to give effect to the above recommendations.

 

The Reasons are to progress the regeneration of the area and the acquisition will enable the Council as Landlords to gain control of an apartment block making property and tenancy management more effective, whilst improving the tenants’ experience.
