I Paul Dennett, City Mayor in consultation with the Cabinet and in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby:

1.    Adopt the Statement of Community Involvement.

The Reasons are: To address the government’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) and the implications this has for engaging the public in plan making, and to ensure progress will continue to be made on the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework and the Salford Local Plan. 


Assessment of Risk: High – should the SCI not be adopted then any consultation on the next version of the GMSF (and potentially the Local Plan) would not be in conformity with the current adopted SCI.
