Decision: Salford City Council - Record of Decision
I, Councillor Hinds, Lead Member for Finance and Support Services and chairman of the Procurement Board, in exercise of the powers contained within the Council Constitution do hereby approve: The award of a contract for Interpretation and Translation Services to DA Languages Ltd as detailed in the table below.
Options considered and rejected were: Not to request the award of the new contract.
If a new contract for interpretation and translation is not awarded, then the Council will not have the ability to provide an accessible service to service users who have English as a second language.
Each team will pay for their usage of interpretation and translation services under the contract from their revenue budget.

There is a low risk that the contract will not be successful and if it is not awarded, then the Local Authority would not meet its obligation to facilitate transport for pupils at the school
