Refurbishment of Ingleside Decision: Salford City Council - Record of Decision
I Paul Dennett, the City Mayor in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby: Agree to the waiver of standing orders .to allow tender submissions to be sought from three Contractors in relation to the refurbishment of the Ingleside building linked to its future proposed use . The three Contractors being:-
· John Turner Group · Seddons · Warden Construction All 3 contractors are known to the City Council and are considered to have the necessary capabilities to deliver the refurbishment requirements. All 3 contractors confirmed they were willing and able to put proposals for consideration and have the resources available to deliver the refurbishment works to the required timescales. The reason for the waiver is as a result of the timescales associated with the required delivery of the refurbishment work linked to its future end use. Following receipt of contractor tender submissions, these will be considered and reported to Procurement Board and the City Mayor where any recommendation on appointment will be considered. Options considered and rejected were:
Legal Advice -The City Mayor has the authority to waive standing orders with appropriate justification which is set out within the record of decision Financial Advice -There are no financial implications at this stage.
