Salford City Council - Record of Decision

 

I, Councillor Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby:

 

  1. Approve the grant of a 250 year lease to ForViva at St Mary’s Road, Eccles on the terms provisionally agreed.

 

  1. Approve the surrender back to the Council of the ground floor accommodation, following completion of the build, and the grant of a 25 year lease to Salford Foundation on the terms provisionally agreed.

 

  1. Delegate authority to the Executive Director Place in consultation with the Section 151 officer to: negotiate, agree and finalise the detailed terms of the transaction.

 

  1. Note the outcome of the advertising of the intention to dispose of an area of public open space under Section 123(1), (2a) of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

  1. Authorise the Shared Legal Service to prepare all necessary documentation and to take all steps which are required to give effect to the above recommendations.

 

The Reasons are to facilitate the development of affordable housing together with a new Women’s Centre
