Decision:

Salford City Council - Record of Decision

 

 

I Councillor Tracy Kelly, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council Constitution do hereby:

 

1. Approve the Development Proposal Notice for plot A3 New Bailey submitted by ECf in accordance with the provisions of the Overarching Development Agreement dated 15thDecember 2006.

 

2. Approve the disposal of plot A3 New bailey by way of a long lease and in accordance with the provisions of the Overarching Development Agreement at the agreed land price.

 

3. Approve the proposed allocation (if required) of funds from Development Trust Account.

 

4. Authorise the negotiation and completion of all legal documentation and all steps required to give effect to the above recommendations.

The Reasons are:

English Cities fund (ECf) has submitted a Development Proposal Notice (DPN) in accordance with the provisions of the Overarching Development Agreement for Salford Central in respect of the proposed development of Plot A3 at New Bailey, Salford.

 

The proposal envisages the development of an 11 storey office building with flexible ground floor units with a total area of 114,693sqft. Planning consent for the scheme was secured in February 2021.

 

Assessment of Risk:Low.  The proposed land transaction is the latest of a series of successful phase development by ECf with the Salford Central regeneration area.
