Decision:

Salford City Council - Record of Decision

I, Councillor Antrobus, Lead Member for Planning and Sustainable Development, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby

(i) accede to the objections in part (ii) approve the modified prohibitions of waiting; and (iii) authorise the making of the City of Salford (Oriole Drive and Newearth Road, Ellenbrook)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2018 in the modified form – as set out in the Report

The Reasons are:

A traffic management scheme has been designed to introduce waiting restrictions on Oriole Drive and Newearth Road in Ellenbrook. This scheme will improve safe pedestrian and vehicular access in the area.

Assessment of Risk:   Implementation of the prohibition of waiting would decrease the risk of collisions and improve access and road safety for both pedestrians and vehicles.

Under regulation 14(1) of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (“the Regulations”), an order making authority may modify an order, whether in consequence of any objections or otherwise, before it is made.
