Salford City Council - Record of Decision


I, Councillor Lancaster, Lead Member for Environment and Community Safety, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council constitution do hereby approve Salford’s in house undertaking of bus lane enforcement, using the City Councils Control Room and Environment and Community Safety Staff for this purpose. This arrangement shall come into effect on, or before the 1st April 2018 and shall replace the existing arrangements in place with Manchester City Council. 


The Reasons are to protect the interests of Salford City Council and ensure efficient and effective delivery of Council services.


Options considered and rejected were to renew the existing contract arrangements with Manchester City Council


Assessment of Risk: Low


The source of funding is: existing funding sources from Highways.
