Name of premises:               Nisa

Address of premises:           Adelphi Wharf 2, 9a Adelphi Street, Salford,

M3 6FZ

Decision:

Licensing Act 2003 Panel

1st September 2022

In respect of Nisa - Adelphi Wharf 2, 9a Adelphi Street, M3 6FZ- Application for a variation of the licence

Decision:

To grant the application with the following additional condition:

1.    Local residents shall be invited to quarterly residents’ meetings held by the premises licence holder/DPS or manager to discuss any problems associated with the operation of the premises. The minutes of meetings to be retained for two years and made available to the Council on request.

Reasons:

The Committee considered carefully the representations both oral and written of all parties.  The Committee found that the evidence showed that the premises are being responsibly managed and there is no evidence that the operation of the premises is undermining the licensing objectives.

The Committee noted that there were no representations from Responsible Authorities. Although the Committee understood the residents’ concerns it considered that the problems in the area did not arise from the operation of the premises and were not exacerbated by the operation of the premises.

Taking into account all the circumstances the Committee accepted that the additional lighting and use of CCTV cameras throughout the night would assist with security in the area and would be likely to be a deterrent to crime. The Committee therefore considered it appropriate to grant the licence with the additional condition to hold regular meetings with residents.
