DISPOSAL OF LAND AT EAST PHILIP STREET, SALFORD

 

I, Councillor Paula Boshell, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council’s constitution do hereby:-

 

  1. Approve the disposal of the land at East Philip Street, Salford by way of a 250 year leasehold.

 

  1. Instruct Urban Vision to progress detailed negotiations with the purchaser to give effect to the proposed transaction on the principal terms detailed within the report.

 

  1. Authorise the Shared Legal Service to negotiate, agree and complete the necessary documentation and the taking of all steps which are expedient to give effect to the above recommendations.

 

 

The Reasons: To facilitate the redevelopment of the site.

Compensation for land at Douglas Green Charlestown Salford

 

I, Councillor Paula Boshell, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council’s constitution do hereby:-

 

  1. Approve the compensation for land at Douglas Green Charlestown Salford.

 

  1. In the event the level compensation exceeds that provisionally agreed, delegate authority to the City Mayor, in consultation with the Chief Finance Officer (Section 151 Officer), to approve the level of variance.

 

  1. Instruct Urban Vision to conclude negotiations with the claimant on the terms detailed within the report.

 

  1. Authorise the Shared Legal Service to complete the necessary documentation and the taking of all steps which are expedient to give effect to the above recommendations.

 


The Reason: To settle the compensation claim arising out of the Charlestown Compulsory Purchase Order.

DISPOSAL OF LAND AT LIVERPOOL STREET, SALFORD

 

I, Councillor Paula Boshell, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the City Council’s constitution do hereby:-

 

1.            Approve the shortlisting of the bids to two preferred bidders for land at Liverpool Street.

 

2.            Approve the next steps outlined in this report, subject to a formal report being brought forward to approve disposal to the selected developer in due course.

 

3.            Authorises Urban Vision Partnership to revert back to the remaining bidders to advise them that their bid has been unsuccessful.

 

The Reasons: To facilitate the disposal of the site and generate a capital receipt for the Council.

I Councillor Paula Boshell, Deputy City Mayor, in exercise of the powers contained within the Salford City Council Constitution do hereby approve the terms for a lease of part of the first floor of One New Bailey and that the legal contracts be completed.

 

The Reasons are to support the wider Salford Central regeneration and this letting will complete the letting of the building.
